Works Manager – Ship Repair, Poole

Do you have a background in ship repair and want to move into a management role? As a Works Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and monitoring production staff to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Managing project budgets, materials and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Building strong client relationships, attending meetings, and resolving technical queries
  • Overseeing contractors and subcontractors on assigned projects
  • Ensuring compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) procedures and company policies
  • Support Ship refurbishments

As a Works Manager, your skills and experience will include:

  • Ship repair experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications
  • Previous experience leading and supervising teams, ensuring high work standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for project planning and communication
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with clients and teams effectively

A valid UK driving licence and a willingness to travel when required are essential for this role.
