Prospero Teaching are currently working with a lovely primary school based in Branksome who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to start in a full-time position in January within year 2. The suitable candidate will be confident, resilient and comfortable working with SEN pupils who require extra support, sometimes in 1:1 scenario's.

This would be an ideal role for a Teaching Assistant keen to join a strong staffing team who are dedicated and passionate about their work.

Experience, training and qualification:

  • Calming mannerisms in challenging situations
  • Ability to think quickly & without supervision
  • Confident when working with small groups or 1-1
  • Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment
  • Driven to motivate the pupil and increase participation
  • Be caring, patient and have good communication skills
  • Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative
  • Willing to complete Safeguarding online training

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
