Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Poole

Salary: £45-60k

Are you an experienced Electronics Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? Join a dynamic team where youll be responsible for designing high-quality, reliable, and safe electronic systems for cutting-edge projects in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electronic designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
  • Ensure designs meet project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance design processes and implement lessons learned.
  • Interpret technical requirements, create detailed documentation, and manage the product lifecycle.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to finalize technical specifications and provide support.
  • Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards, including CE & UKCA regulations.
  • Promote cost-effective materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Occasionally travel for project requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electronic design, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium), microcontrollers, and communication protocols (RS422, RS232, Ethernet, LVDS).
  • Solid knowledge of product safety, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in risk mitigation, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Electronics Engineering degree and working towards CEng.
