Copello have partnered with an established defence manufacturer based in Poole, in the recruitment of an Electronics Systems Engineer with a focus on the configuration of products into systems that include a variety of Naval, Marine Aviation and general Defence applications.
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking a technical role covering the development of electronic/electrical hardware
- Full product lifecycle
- System layout drawings, architectural design and calculations
- Working closely with Project Managers on data requirements, service support documentation and system design reviews
- Working alongside Software Engineers on technical specifications
- Management of projects, including all customer facing requirements within the engineering deliverables
- Post-design support and product documentation.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding and experience within Electronics design, how products are configured into systems
- Customer facing experience, capturing requirements and owning the project for the engineering deliverable
- Engineering experience within the civil or military aviation industry would be desirable
- Experience in design programme management across multiple projects
- Understanding of heavily regulated product development
