Role: Senior/Principal Electronics Systems Engineer

Location: Poole, Dorset

Copello is excited to partner with a leading defence manufacturer, specializing in innovative engineering solutions for the marine industry. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to take ownership of product design, system integration, and lifecycle management, ensuring the continued success of cutting-edge naval defence hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Prime Technical Contact for customers, capturing requirements and managing project deliverables.
  • Own system design and development, including creating and maintaining internal electronic architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring technical documentation and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead design reviews, create system layout drawings, and ensure integration with existing systems.
  • Support bid managers and project managers with technical expertise, product knowledge, and system specifications.
  • Manage obsolescence and adaptations to meet specific customer and country requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in the defence sector.
  • Strong background in electronic and electrical design, system configuration, and product lifecycle management.
  • Customer-facing experience with a focus on project and documentation management.
