Artworker, Signage & Graphics – Dorset
Outstanding opportunity for a proficient Artworker possessing extensive practical experience of using Adobe Illustrator, CalderaRIP & associated software, to enhance the PrePress team within an impressively invested Large Format Digital & Screen Printed Signage Production facility.
Part of a fantastically diverse, family owned group of Businesses, they have grown over the last thirty years into an amazing organisation that employs over 200 dedicated people, including this highly specified Print Production facility & occupying 100,000 square feet of warehouse, factory and office space. They manufacture and sell a diverse range of products from outdoor furniture, safety and fire signs, outdoor shelters and workwear to medical and hygiene products, gloves, first aid supplies, facilities and safety products.
Based within the safety signs manufacturing division, this new Artworker role is responsible for re-creating, re-drawing & improving artwork files ready for print production, alongside providing quotations, approving orders and working on development projects.
Duties and responsibilities;
- Creating & manipulating artwork files for screen, digital, textile print and embroidery production, including new artwork files, re-creating & making improvements to existing artwork files.
- Providing quotations to the Sales department & approving Client orders.
- Assisting with development projects, providing advice to other departments on materials and restrictions.
- Understanding the production process and prioritising workloads based on demands.
Role requirements:
- Minimum two years practical experience using Illustrator, Adobe Creative, CalderaRIP &Â Fiery software suites.
- A keen interest and knowledge of working with artwork files (logos etc), combined with a demonstrable ability to create, edit and re-draw basic vector art
- Acquired Large Format Digital and/or Screen print Industry experience
- Developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to foster strong working relationships
- A creative mindset, that uses sound judgement, plus an ability and willingness to make decisions
- Adaptable and flexible within a dynamic working environment
- High attention to detail, with an ability to concentrate for long periods, working independently and as part of a dedicated team
- Proven problem solving skills & an ability to prioritise & meet deadlines
