The School and Role

An Alternative Provision school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to start after Easter or as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. 聽

The Behaviour Mentor role is an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and support young people to access education. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom, and also with their social and emotional development.

Requirements聽

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience working with children with SEN and/or behaviour needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different situations.
