Senior Parts Advisor
Location: Poole
Salary: 30K - 38K
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (flexible; shifts may vary, e.g., 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a hour unpaid lunch break). Every third Saturday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
About the Role
Rocket Staffing are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Parts Advisor to join our clients team located in Poole. This role is integral to the company operations, ensuring excellent customer service, seamless workshop support, and effective parts management.
You will also play a hands-on role in delivering parts to clients in the company van, building strong client relationships, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Handle over-the-counter parts sales, assist customers in person and via telephone, and ensure their needs are met efficiently.
- Delivery Service: Deliver parts to clients using the company van, maintaining professionalism and punctuality.
- Client Engagement: Speak confidently with clients to build relationships and promote the company positively.
- Workshop Support: Manage parts orders for Renault and all-makes vehicles.
- Procurement: Source and control the supply of required parts and consumables.
- Stock Management: Oversee stock control, conduct regular stock-taking, and manage warranty parts retention and processes.
- PPE Distribution: Issue Personal Protective Equipment to staff and manage related inventory.
- Invoice & Returns: Resolve invoice queries, process supplier returns and follow up on credits.
- Maintenance & Waste Control: Perform regular upkeep of the parts department and manage waste disposal efficiently.
- System Management: Record and allocate parts received from suppliers using the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Business Growth: Actively promote the company to increase parts sales and identify growth opportunities.

- Experience: Proven experience in a senior parts role within a dealership (car or commercial).
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy and the ability to navigate dealer management systems.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence in client interactions and building relationships.

- Adaptability: The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the automotive sector is essential.
