Job Title: Account Manager

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 plus bonus

Location: Poole

Hours:

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours - 8.30am to 5.00pm with one hour for lunch.

Hybrid working is available for all employees and can be tailored to suit the individual.

Description:

Working as an Account Manager in the Asset Finance department for a well-established financial services business with Platinum Investors in People accreditation, you would be part of a values driven, award-winning business passionate about creating a flexible and inclusive environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Business Opportunities

  • Source new loan opportunities and maintain ongoing engagement with new and existing customers
  • Introduce new business while supporting existing and strategic accounts

Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with introductory sources, clients and internal/external stakeholders
  • Attend networking events to identify and secure new business opportunities

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional service to clients, prospective clients and all internal and external customers

Maximise Business Potential

  • Use best practices, effective planning and tenacity to maximise business opportunities and achieve goals

Achieve Performance Targets

  • Meet allocated targets for new deals, business volume and income by:
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of new enquiries
  • Conducting sales meetings with prospective clients/introducers
  • Completing risk templates for facility sanction and managing follow-ups on outstanding enquiries or paperwork
  • Maintaining the CRM system and attending sales team meetings
  • Making the prescribed number of calls per day

Travel Requirements

  • The occasional overnight stay may be required with this role

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience working in a high volume, transactional sales environment
  • Previous experience within asset finance would be preferred
  • Proficient in telephone based sales, including cold calling and prospecting
  • Competence in preparing basic finance proposals for underwriting is an advantage
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook
  • Capable of effective planning, organisation and time management
  • Highly organised, with the ability to work efficiently under time pressure when required
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing as part of a team
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 plus excellent benefits.
