We are working with an industry-leading client who specialises in designing high-performance industrial bags and soft goods used in some of the toughest environments on the planet. Their products support mountain rescue teams, firefighters, and emergency responders, ensuring they have the most durable, functional, and innovative gear available.

They are now looking for a Soft Goods Designer to join their team - someone with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and technical textile design. If you’re ready to take ownership of the entire design process, from concept to production, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of textile innovation, designing products that are used in life-critical situations. You’ll be responsible for:
  • Designing industrial bags & backpacks for extreme environments
  • Developing rescue gear for emergency professionals such as fire & rescue teams
  • Prototyping & sewing - bringing ideas to life with hands-on creativity
  • Managing the full design & production process, ensuring seamless execution
  • Working closely with emergency professionals to gather insights and improve designs
  • Collaborating with suppliers & production teams to maintain the highest quality standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in textile design, ideally with industrial or performance textiles
  • A strong portfolio showcasing soft goods, technical fabrics, or similar products
  • Project management skills - ability to take designs from concept to production
  • Prototyping & sewing experience - confident using a sewing machine
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills across teams and industries
  • A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset, ensuring products meet high standards of quality and durability
