Due to continued expansion, my client, a global manufacturing company is now seeking an Assembly Operative with previous experience of assembly and testing of a diverse range of products.

As an Assembly Operative, you will have some experience and understanding of pressure testing using various products such as air, fluid, and gas, along with coil winding and spray painting.

As an Assembly Operative, you will have experience in any of the following: -

An understanding of high-pressure valve assemblies, mechanical or electrical assembly, wiring looms, crimping, paint spraying, soldering or sub-assembly through to final build

Candidate Skills

  • Experience of using a variety of coating media applied to specifications
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Able to understand and follow work instructions for example procedures, story boards etc.
  • A proficient level of manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
  • A high level of attention to detail with a flexible approach and a good team player
  • Computer literate

Duties

  • You will be responsible for assembly products in line with technical drawings and/or story boards.
  • Coil winding for all product types and finishing of products ready for inspection and/or packing including labelling, cleaning etc. whilst also cleaning of components and assemblies.
  • Assembling products in accordance with pre-defined procedures and quality control standards.
  • Testing in accordance with procedures and quality control standards.
  • Paint Spraying all product types in accordance with procedures and customer specifications.
  • Adherence to SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Undertaking soldering when required
  • Recording accurate data using spread sheets and official documents when required.
  • Ensuring workplace area is clean and tidy at commencement and end of shift
