Your Company:A highly successful consumer goods business has partnered with NET Recruit, to search the market for a Credit Control Assistant within the greater Poole area. A business made up of ambitious and driven professionals, the company has seen great levels of success within the last few years and is keen to expand its offerings and customer reach.As a key member of the credit control and wider finance team, the position holder will be working in a proactive and energetic environment, whereupon they will be building strong relationships with clients, chasing outstanding debt using a variety of resources and dealing with a wide range of queries and potential disputes.Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the Sales Ledger accurately
  • Chasing both UK and international payments using various channels including email, in writing or the phone
  • Supporting the Credit Manager to create payment plans and settlements with customers for the recovery of outstanding debt
  • Resolving invoice queries that are presented and settling disputes, ensuring that professionalism is maintained at all times
  • Raising credit notes for customer accounts, disputes, online retailers and e-comms returns
  • Posting of cash receipts
  • Undertaking account reconciliations for customer accounts and processing payments
  • Setting up new accounts
  • Supporting the administration for credit checks for new clients and evaluating credit reports and reviewing payment histories in order to agree on credit limits, as well as obtaining trade references
  • Reconciling customer accounts and processing payments
  • Ensuring that company credit policies are followed at all times and that internal controls are in place and adhered to
  • Attending weekly debtor meetings
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will have previous credit control experience and also possess very strong communication skills. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or an equivalent qualification. Good IT skills, including Excel and the wider MS Office suite.
