Job Title: Investment Manager

Location: Remote - Dorset or Devon Based

Salary: DOE - Plus Bonus and Commission

Hours: Full-time (4 days per week considered on a pro-rata salary basis)

TeamJobs is hiring an experienced Business Development or Relationship Manager with a background in Business or Commercial Banking or SME lending. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created Debt Fund covering Dorset and Devon.

As an Investment Manager, you will be responsible for originating, appraising, and executing loans of up to 2m to growing and innovative SMEs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and managing a pipeline of suitable lending opportunities
  • Developing relationships with introducers and marketing the product
  • Conducting evaluations and due diligence on proposals in line with lending policies
  • Presenting proposals to an independent credit committee for approval
  • Managing loan completion, working alongside solicitors to ensure security requirements
  • Proactively managing a client portfolio, monitoring performance, and identifying potential default situations early
  • Contributing to stakeholder reporting

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in SME lending and relationship management, with the ability to assess and structure loan propositions on a projection-led basis
  • A strong professional network in Dorset & Devon (advantageous)
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritisation skills to meet customer expectations
  • Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels of management
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems
  • A diligent, detail-oriented working style
