As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimising production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment. Your technical skills and problem-solving abilities will be key to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that manufacturing operations consistently meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cost reduction and introduce new processes and tooling
  • Train and guide operators on production techniques
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing and other business functions
  • Prepare estimates and manage job-related costs
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis
  • Actively contribute to Health and Safety initiatives
  • Identify and implement innovative manufacturing techniques
  • Plan and optimise workflow, space, and equipment and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Advise on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

What they’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an assembly background
  • HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience is desirable
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing practices and processes
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in system assembly manufacturing
  • Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks
