This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join a market leader in infection control solutions, delivering cutting-edge technology and exceptional service to the healthcare and care sectors. With over 30 years of expertise, the organisation is dedicated to maintaining the highest hygiene standards, protecting patients, residents, and staff from the risks of infection.
As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Director, overseeing logistics, materials, quality, supply chain, planning, and manufacturing functions. You will work closely with all departments to drive operational efficiency, implement best practices, and support the companys ambitious growth plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with senior management to develop strategic goals, operational plans, and performance targets.
- Oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with company objectives and global quality standards.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and promote lean manufacturing methodologies and best practices.
- Identify and resolve delivery and inventory challenges.
- Manage the transition of new product developments into production.
- Ensure production workflows meet cost, quality, and customer requirements.
- Develop and motivate teams to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee fleet management and drive improvements across the business.
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment, promoting employee wellbeing.
- Manage stock control, distribution, and production scheduling.
- Strengthen the supply chain to mitigate operational risks.
- Work closely with sales and other departments to optimise customer order forecasting.
Experience Required:
- Proven operational and people management experience.
- Background in manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing and driving organisational change.
- Understanding of purchasing and MRP processes.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and train teams effectively.
- Goal-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Innovative, adaptable, and resilient approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in IT, including Outlook and Excel (SAP Business One knowledge is an advantage).
