About the Role
As a Child Support Worker, you will support the development of young children with Special Educational Need, in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work closely with the team to deliver personalised care and learning, helping each child thrive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support and care to children, fostering their emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans that are designed to meet the diverse needs of children with various special educational needs, using a combination of play-based activities and structured learning.
  • Contribute to the development of a safe, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere where every child feels valued and able to thrive.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child's needs are met and that they are progressing well.
  • Support children to develop important life skills, confidence, and independence, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning and personal development.
  • Embrace and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and abilities of all children, ensuring inclusivity in every aspect of learning and interaction.

Requirements:

  • A nurturing, patient, and empathetic individual with a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience in early years education or supporting children with SEN is preferred.
  • A commitment to working as part of a team and engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong, positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
