A fantastic opportunity not to be missed has arisen for an experienced Production Manager looking for a career working for a flourishing and well-established Manufacturing company based in Poole. This privately owned company has over a 50-year history supply machined parts and ancillaries for various industrial applications.

Within this role, you will be responsible for CNC Machine Shop and manufacturing areas where the company is looking for you to develop the team to be and achieve better, ensuring the company continue to manufacture their products to the highest possible standard whilst meeting customer deadlines.

We are looking for an individual who not only knows CNC but can also mentor but also someone who can lead / develop the team to achieve the best in their roles.

Within this role you will be responsible for approx. 35 staff in total across the shop floor and production planning & engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Prioritising, issuing and scheduling work orders for the Machine Shop
•    Production target and KPI management 
•    Overall efficiency and productivity of production 
•    Quality & Compliance of manufactured products
•    Identification of manufacturing needs for new products in development and existing products
•    Implementing and maintaining best practices and improvements
•    Championing of health & safety and ensuring the implementation around the Machine Shop
•    Recruitment, training and development of staff 

Person Specification:

This position requires the following key skills and attributes:

•    Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Production Supervisor, Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager within a CNC environment 
•    Experience of leading / managing a team of CNC Machinists (Turners & Millers)
•    Excellent communications skills 
•    Excellent scheduling and prioritising skills
•    Knowledge of implementing and maintaining quality and compliance across the manufacturing process
