Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

Role Summary

My design and manufacturing client is looking for a dynamic product photographer to join their commercial studio team on a Fixed Term contract.

Under the guidance of our Creative Director and Studio Manager, based in our Poole studio, you will be responsible for delivering high quality lifestyle and technical studio imagery in line with our customers brands and aesthetic, for both websites and print. The successful candidate will need to be technically sufficient at setting up varied lighting environments, using flash and continuous lighting, in studio equipment maintenance, guideline adherence and photography capture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working closely with the retouch and creative teams to ensure that the schedule is agreed and imagery delivered on time

• Helping to drive the direction of our photography and operate calmly under pressure

• Creating high quality digital photography for website, catalogue and marketing material, in line with style guidelines

• Maintaining consistently high standards, having a critical eye for detail

• Continuously improving the studio’s workflows and processes

• Trouble-shooting photography challenges on set

• Using industry experience and expertise to support the expansion of our photography capabilities

• Maintaining equipment and monitoring and upholding extremely high safety and quality standards

What You’ll Need

• 3-5 years’ experience of working in a high volume, commercial photographic studio, creating an array of imagery for online and print

• Creative with the ability to formulate ideas quickly and effectively

• Excellent understanding of photography equipment and software (Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One)

• Proficient in 360 photography

• Strong understanding of commercial studio workflow

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

• A self-driven mentality, able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment

• A focus on productivity, practical thinking and the ability to solve problems quickly

Desirable Additional Experience

• Specific experience of eCom and editorial photography

Working hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday
