Our client who specialises in precision engineering, is looking for a Manual Grinder / Honer to join their growing team!

Manual Grinder / Honer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate a manual grinder
• Batching, planning, and scheduling work packages to meet deadlines
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Manufacturing of components to meet drawing specification and tolerance
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machinery
• Use of measuring equipment and gauges
• Internal grinding
• Working safely in an engineering machining environment
• Utilising machine and hand tools

The Manual Grinder / Honer Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a honing operator (Desirable)
• Previously worked on J & S universal manual grinders (Desirable)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Knowledge of different materials
• Able to work to tight tolerances

Manual Grinder / Honer Benefits and Working Hours:

• Full time, permanent position
• Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm and 8am - 1pm on Friday
• Flexible working - opportunity to work a 4 day week
• 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
• Pension scheme
• Sick pay
