Job Title: Quality EngineerSalary: Up to £55,000Sector: Defence & Aerospace Location: DorsetFull Time: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm & an early finish on a Friday at 2:00pmDue to our client's latest expansions within the Defence sector, a new opportunity has opened up for a Quality Engineer to join one of Dorset's leading engineers of diverse products. You will be working on projects from start to finish, using the latest technologies and techniques to manufacture high-quality and sustainable products for Britain's largest Aircraft & Marine manufacturers, Military stations, and Satellite communications companies.Key Responsibilities:* Carry out dimensional inspections using traditional manual inspection & CMM Laser tracker (FARO) methods.* Assist the Nonconformity review (NCR) process with initial investigation* Provide feedback to Quality, Engineering & Production teams on quality of product and highlight opportunities for improvement.* Managing ISO9001/ISO4001 systems for both internal and external audits, their implementation, supplier process, product development.* Complete QA reviews of new enquiries or orders via the contract review process.* Review of completed manufacturing documentation prior to product delivery. * Produce final release documentation packs and inspection reports for component acceptance. * Compiling First Article Reports in accordance with AS9102. Required Experience:* Experience with FARO or similar Laser Tracker systems preferable or use of applications such as Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer or similar metrology software.* Understanding of technical drawings, knowledge of GD&T would be advantageous.* Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Knowledge working to ISO 9001 quality management system. * Willingness to adapt under pressure to ensure Quality requirements are met in a timely manner. * Experience working directly with suppliers and customers
