An award-winning principal and specialist contractor, recognised for its expertise in building conservation, restoration, and new build masonry finishes. The company also specialises in hard landscaping, internal stone finishes, and a range of other associated specialist trades. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a college restoration project in Dorset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the project from inception to completion, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring that the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Managing project budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring the project is delivered within financial constraints.
  • Reporting on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conducting regular site visits and ensuring quality control throughout the project.
  • Resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the course of the project.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a construction environment, ideally within restoration or heritage projects.
  • Strong understanding of building conservation, masonry finishes, and restoration techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Experience managing project budgets and resources effectively.
  • A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working with a principal or specialist contractor is highly desirable.
