Compliance Manager (Electrical Manufacturing)

Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type:Permanent
Salary:£50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours:Monday Thursday 8am 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Manager to work with a leading company who design, manufacture and supply products to both the B2C & B2B market.

The company manufactures their full range of the products in the Far-East and then supplies these to a number of well-known retail chains.

Within this role you will be managing the UK compliance team to ensure product testing compliance obligations are met along with managing the Far-East auditing team to ensure all factory, environmental and customer compliance is being met.

This role will involve travel to the Far-East approximately 3 times per year & UK travel on an adhoc basis.

Some of your duties will include:

Keeping up to date and communicate new legislative requirements to all relevant departments, customers & suppliers Support the compliance team to effectively implement any necessary changes to processes or procedures.
Represent the business at customer and supplier technical and product regulatory meetings
Ensuring that every product meets all relevant regulations and requirements (legislative, customer and internal)
Maintaining internal systems, policies and technical files
Complete customer-specific compliance questionnaires and data submissions as required.
Engage with the industry boards to represent the organisation in the formulation or modification of standards.
Conduct regular update sessions with internal teams to provide technical support and product enhancement ideas
Oversee the organisations annual ISO 9001 & 14001 audits and ensure improvements to processes or procedures are implemented.
Manage factory auditing to ensure factories are always fully compliant with external customer ethical, social, technical and environmental auditing requirements.
Conduct regular meetings with the Far-East auditing team to review progress, manage schedules and to train and develop continuous improvement strategies at core factory sites

We would like our ideal candidates to possess:

Experience of Compliance / Quality from an Electrical, Test Lab or Lighting industry
Factory / Manufacturing knowledge
Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead customer meetings
Ability to analyse data and work with numbers
Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong computer skills
