Senior Civil Technician

Are you a Technician or Senior technician in a civils/drainage team and looking for a new, exciting opportunity to progress your career in a medium sized engineering consultancy?
 
Due to exciting projects and workload expanding, my client is looking to hire a Technician or Senior Technician for the team. This is a great opportunity to work on some interesting projects both overseas and UK based. Your responsibilities will vary based on your experience and seniority, encompassing roles such as:

Senior Civil Technician
Leading the design and analysis of major civil engineering projects, providing expert consultation and technical leadership, and ensuring design and operational excellence in all civil engineering activities. Leading the Technician team and oversees all software toolsets.
Civil Technician
Develop detailed designs, drawings, and layouts for civil engineering projects. Support civil engineers with calculations, documentation, and project oversight. Participate in field surveys and supervise junior technicians for accurate technical drawings.
 
General Responsibilities & Daily Activities
 
·Provide technical support to civil engineers in the design and analysis of drainage & infrastructure.
·Utilise Site3D and AutoCAD to create detailed structural drawings and 3D models.
·Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring all drawings and models meet industry standards and client specifications.
·Work closely with engineers and other team members to develop and refine full drainage models, addressing complex design and planning issues.
·Ensure all outputs comply with quality assurance procedures and industry standards.
Your skills and experience
Requirements
·An HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is preferred but not essential.
·2-3 years of experience in an engineering environment.
 Technical Skills
·Proficiency in AutoCAD & Site3D.
·Ability to produce detailed drawings and 3D models.
·Familiarity with other structural design software is advantageous.

·Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
