Business Development Manager, Poole, £60,000 + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen with this leading UK supplier, as they seek a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their growing business. As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be visiting existing and prospective customers, face-to-face, as you’ll be spending 4 out of 5 days on the road. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, whilst building and developing existing partnerships across a variety of industries.

You’ll report directly into the Divisional Managing Director and play an integral and crucial role as part of future plans for sustainable growth.

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of:

  • Managing and growing existing customer relationships, owning, and overseeing the total relationship with customers
  • Identify and seize business opportunities
  • Support and development of the annual sales plan and budget
  • Utilise sales CRM systems and processes.
  • Work closely with the service department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales

The Business Development Manager will be:

  • Previous experience in a similar sales/target driven environment.
  • Ability to target, build and develop strong relationships
  • Excellent commercial awareness and can demonstrate P&L understanding
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Energetic and positive, can-do attitude
