About the Role:
As an English Teacher you will:
- Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department and share best practices.
- Foster a love for reading and writing through innovative teaching methods.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Execute fantastic communication skills when engaging with parents, student and members of staff.

Full time/part-time - Full time
Hours - Standard working hours 8.30am-4pm (times may vary).
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- An undergraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Experience of working within a similar role
- Evidence of, and commitment to, continuing professional development
- A relevant degree or higher degree qualification
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
