Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant Primary school in Poole. This rewarding role involves working with children aged 6-11, supporting their learning and development in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

  • Hours- 09:00am- 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to small groups or whole classes under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Support children in achieving their academic and personal development goals.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Lead intervention groups and provide additional support for pupils with specific learning needs.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or extensive experience working as a teaching assistant at the primary level.
  • Experience supporting children aged 6-11 in a school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive in their education.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two recent professional references
