Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, modification, and repair/maintenance of marine structures and equipment for lifeboats in refit
  • Engaging in a variety of boatbuilding disciplines, including epoxy composite repair, vessel strip down and assembly, deck fitout, and assembly of components
  • Working from engineering drawings and standardised work processes safely and efficiently
  • Collaborating within a multi-disciplined team to ensure timely and budget-compliant refitting of lifeboats


Job Requirements:

  • Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
  • Strong carpentry skills and experience in boat production, marine refits, and repairs
  • Experience with epoxy composite materials and laminating
  • Ability to work to stringent quality standards
  • Multi-skilled attitude and approach, capable of handling various boatbuilding tasks
  • Efficient and safety-conscious work habits
