This permanent position involves working within an innovative and prestigious environment, focused on creating and maintaining lifeboats to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, modification, and repair/maintenance of marine structures and equipment for lifeboats in refit
- Engaging in a variety of boatbuilding disciplines, including epoxy composite repair, vessel strip down and assembly, deck fitout, and assembly of components
- Working from engineering drawings and standardised work processes safely and efficiently
- Collaborating within a multi-disciplined team to ensure timely and budget-compliant refitting of lifeboats
Job Requirements:
- Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
- Strong carpentry skills and experience in boat production, marine refits, and repairs
- Experience with epoxy composite materials and laminating
- Ability to work to stringent quality standards
- Multi-skilled attitude and approach, capable of handling various boatbuilding tasks
- Efficient and safety-conscious work habits
