We are recruiting a Backend Software Developer on behalf of a growing digital consultancy. In this role, you will be working on a cloud-heavy, AI-enhanced project within the public sector, supporting a central government client. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Node.js, Python, and AWS.

Due to the exciting nature of the role and the projects you will be involved in, active DV Clearance is required for eligibility.

Location: London or Poole (2 days per week onsite)
Rate: £550 per day, Outside IR35
Duration: Initial 6 months, with a view to extend

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong backend development experience in Node.js and Python
  • Proven Cloud Engineering expertise, ideally within AWS
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and S3
  • Familiarity with containerisation and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Prior experience working with or delivering projects for in the defence industry
  • Exposure to AI/ML is a plus, but not essential
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and secure environments
