Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and nurturing school environment in Poole. This role involves working with students in Years 7 to 11, including within a dedicated nurture group that supports children with Autism and anxiety.
What Were Looking For:
- Understands the needs of children with SEMH and Autism, offering empathy and practical support.
- Has a positive and proactive approach to helping students overcome challenges.
- Works well in a team, collaborating effectively with teachers, support staff, and families.
- Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with additional needs is desirable, but not essential if you have the right attitude and transferable skills.
Contract Details for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Location Poole, Dorset

- Full time/part time Full-Time Monday to Friday
- Minimum rate of pay GBP13.09 per hour
To be eligible as an SEN Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
