Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs? GSL Education are currently partnering with an outstanding SEN school in Poole, who are seeking a dedicated full-time Teacher to join the team.

The school serves as an Alternative Provision for students who are unable to access mainstream education due to factors such as health issues and behavioural challenges. About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN such as Autism.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to autistic students, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up to date
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education
  • Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education
