International Engineer - Cruise Ships

Due to continued growth and success my client are looking for a number of full time (40 hours a week) Engineers to join them on a permanent basis.

75% of time located on a Cruise ship (up to 10 days at a time). Remaining time at office, warehouse, UK and international shipping ports.

The role will be to carry out installations, servicing and maintenance of Tower brand commercial laundry chemical products on Cruise ships.

Working alongside onboarding project manager and engineering team to plan and implement within agreed timescales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing project specifications and schedules
  • Conducting research to assess the feasibility, safety, and sustainability of projects
  • Overseeing maintenance requirements to ensure operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with other professionals within the organisation to achieve project goals

Working with other engineers to:

  • Install chemical products
  • Inventory management
  • Maintenance
  • Preparation schedule of works
  • Reporting on installations
  • Ongoing maintenance reporting
  • Point of contact for issues and service issues
  • Other ad hoc projects (new products introduced by Tower)

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Qualified to City & Guilds 17th Edition Electrical installation or similar
  • CCLNG Qualification preferred
  • Plumbing experience is an advantage
  • Experience within the Commercial Laundry / Commercial Leisure industry
  • Back of house / Operational engineering support
  • Working with chemicals / detergents / janitorial product range
  • Experienced with tunnel wash, OPL dosing systems
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
