SCS Stonemason Manager description:
South Coast Stone Ltd is looking for an experienced stone fabricator to join our
skilled and friendly team based in Poole. We work with marble, granite, limestone,
Porcelain and quartz kitchen work surfaces as well as vanity tops, stone fireplaces and various commercial projects.
The Person
- You must have had managerial experience and be prepared to insure that our quality control system is adhered to.
- Health and safety is a priority so this needs to be reviewed on a regular basis.
- You will be involved with planning and scheduling operative workloads and maximising productivity.
- Machine maintenance and serving will also be the responsibility of our factory manager.
- You will have at least 10 years’ experience fabricating natural stone surfaces as well as quartz and ceramic (with the use of air tools for wet polishing).
- Experience of basic bullnose, bevel, pencil & mitred edges required. Built-up / stick-ups, shark nose and OGEE jobs are an advantage.
- You will understand handling, storage and moving of different materials and use both power and hand tools effectively.
- You must be able to read and interpret drawings, work from templates and be confident in your ability to produce finished products to a high standard. Attention to detail is important and compliance to our quality control system is essential.
- The ability to help assist with installations may also be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate:
- Experience in working with stone ( granite and/or quartz)
- Sawyer/Bridge saw operator
- Wet polishing
- Ability to work as a team
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
- Experience in masonry.
