Welder, Poole, £16.90

Purpose

As a Welder, you will be responsible for the setting out, fabrication, and welding of steel components to form structural steel members and components to high accuracy standards. You will work to tight deadlines, ensuring that the final product meets our quality expectations, all while adhering to the highest safety standards at all times.

As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out, fabricating, and welding steel components to form structural steel members or assemblies
  • Ensuring components are welded to within +/- 2.0mm tolerance, meeting high-quality standards
  • Working to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and producing quality products
  • Strictly following safe working practices and ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies
  • Reporting safety concerns and potential hazards, taking action to maintain a safe working environment
  • Participating in safety initiatives and suggesting improvements to enhance safety on site
  • Complying with BCEL’s Environmental policy and reporting any environmental incidents to your manager
  • Embracing learning and development opportunities to grow within the role

As a Welder, you will have:

  • Experience in welding steel components
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding and adherence to safety procedures
  • Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry (desirable)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail
