Job description:
We are looking for aSous Chefwith experience in the culinary industry to join a kitchen team in a garden centre based in Norwich, Norfolk. This role offers you a fantastic work life balance with a day shift schedule - no nights! You will report to and be supported by the Head Chef.
The role:
- Salary of 27,000 to 29,000
- Full time - 43 hours per week
- Daytime shifts only
- Working 5 out of 7 days including 1 weekend day.
- Norwich based
Duties will include:
- Managing the consistent daily production, preparation and presentation of all food to ensure a quality product for guests
- Managing and motivating kitchen staff through training and mentoring to help them be the best that they can be
- Overseeing food service by directing the presentation and portion control according to the Company standards
- Ordering and receipting deliveries, rotating stock, controlling and reporting wastage
- Managing the team to maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure all food safety processes and legalities are adhered to
- Keeping customer waiting time to a satisfactory level by supporting all areas as required
- Participating in menu development by working with the Head Chef and Food Buyer
