Our client, operating in the marine sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. Working with a small, agile design team and a multidisciplinary group of engineers, you will be responsible for transforming concepts into functional marine electrical systems. You will collaborate closely with professionals specialising in naval architecture, marine engineering, and automation systems to bring innovative solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and design electrical systems for marine vessels, including:
- Power distribution systems (AC/DC)
- Lighting and control systems
- Propulsion systems
- Automation and control systems
- Communication and navigation systems
- Safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting)
Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and load analysis.
Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, LR, DNV GL), and MCA regulations.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines appropriate to the role.

Job Requirements:

Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven track record as an electrical engineer in both design office and construction environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
