Maritime Organisation based in Port Glasgow is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Inspector on an initial 15 month contract. The role will be fully on-site.

Electrical Inspector Job Description:

To support the installation, inspection, and witness testing of electrical systems onboard vessels in accordance with the project plan to achieve set delivery milestones.

Responsibilities:* Ensure health and safety compliance in all relevant methods, such as working at heights, confined spaces, and restricted zones.* Promote a "Right First Time" approach in electrical installations, collaborating closely with production teams for efficient sign-offs.* Monitor and evaluate electrical tests such as ground-fault, ground resistance, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, and load, along with other required field tests.* Conduct field inspections of electrical equipment installations, including ducts, conduits, cables, panels, and other system components.* Review technical documents and drawings to identify and resolve any issues that could impact the stability or functionality of electrical components or systems.* Ensure safety standards are maintained during electrical installations.* Inspect electrical installations and modifications, witness testing, and support activities on-site.

Skillset/experience required:* Demonstrable experience with marine electrical systems and installations.* Knowledge of defect assessment criteria based on standards, specifications, and classification rules such as Lloyd's Register.* Commitment to a "Right First Time" approach in marine electrical operations, reducing the need for rework and ensuring quality workmanship.
