Reed has partner with a leading manufacturer in the Swansea area. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our clients finance team and contribute to their sustained growth by supporting core customers.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare routine monthly journals and perform balance sheet allocations and reconciliations.
- Ensure nominal accounts are well-kept and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Improve accuracy and develop financial master data and item data.
- Perform checks and balances for raw material consumption and participate in stocktakes.
- Enhance the accuracy and depth of Bill of Materials.
- Control and reconcile fixed assets and investment projects.
- Prepare and analyse information requests from senior management.
- Assist the wider finance team during busy periods, such as year-end.
- Conduct ad-hoc reconciliations and analysis.
- Recognised accounting qualification such as AAT (desired).
- Proven experience in a finance role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with IT systems master data and cost accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of analysing and presenting financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
