Groundworker

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist contractor that operate throughout South Wales and South West England. They undertake contracts for a range of clients including local authorities, major contracting groups, universities, colleges, individual sports clubs, and private clients.

About the Role:

As a Groundworker you will play a crucial role in delivering sports turf renovation projects for a wide range of clients. From community sports clubs to elite facilities, you will help maintain and elevate the standards of natural sports surfaces across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kerbing/path edgings
• Shuttering and formations
• Creating pathways
• Slabbing
• Drainage works/manholes
• Fencing works
• Ducting/trench works
• Asphalt/Tarmac
• Soil/earth works
• Hard/Soft landscaping
• Levels/setting out

Working Hours 7:30 to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:00 Friday.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to work away from home when required.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of sports turf management practices.
• NVQ Level 2 in turf surface maintenance.
