The basics:

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Port Talbot

Industry: Manufacturing

Pay: Starting at £52837 per annum and rising to £59878 (following assessment) + OT

Overtime: 1.5 Mon-Fri and double on Sundays

Shift: 6:30-6:30 42hr week

  • Week 1: Mon & Tues (Days), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri,Sat & Sun (Nights)
  • Week 2: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Days), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off)
  • Week 3: Mon & Tues (Nights), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri, Sat & Sun (Days)
  • Week 4: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Nights), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off) rotates back to Wk1.

Holidays: 20 days increasing every year up to 25 days

Benefits: 6% pension / Life Assurance (3x annual salary) / Discount on products.

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the globe you will be working in an automated production environment that will involve projects, installations along with planned and re-active maintenance.

The ideal candidate / Electrical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

- Apprentice trained - Level 3 or above

- PLC experience in terms of fault finding - reading ladder logic, reading inputs and outputs - Siemens s7 beneficial

- Worked with 3 phase electrics

- A basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics - identifying components on a hydraulic drawing for example.

- Previous experience in machinery maintenance working within automated manufacturing/ production environment or similar

Key responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role:

  • To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
  • Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
  • PPM's

Commutable from: Baglan, Swansea, Port Talbot and surrounding areas.
