Job description
Role Overview: As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our machines and equipment work efficiently. You'll handle regular maintenance, fix any issues that arise, and help improve our processes.
Salary: £30000- £33000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our production machinery to ensure it operates efficiently.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, or technical problems with our equipment. If needed, work with external vendors to get repairs done.
- Problem Prevention: Analyse why machines break down, find the root cause, and develop ways to avoid similar issues in the future.
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of all maintenance work, including repairs and replacements.
- Process Improvement: Look for ways to improve machine performance and suggest upgrades to boost productivity.
- Safety: Follow all safety guidelines while working, and regularly inspect machines to identify and fix potential hazards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, especially in a manufacturing or motor vehicle environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with a preference for those with electrical skills.
- Good at identifying and fixing problems with machinery.
- Able to work well on your own and with a team.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance with regulations.
- Relevant industry qualifications are a plus (e.g., NVQ, C&G, 18th Edition).
