We currently have several opportunities to join the organisation as a Terminal Support Worker in Port Talbot, and Newport. Successful applicants will deliver the business requirements to the customers in line with commercial agreements and customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) whilst ensuring that business requirements are delivered safely.

Principle Accountabilities

Terminal administration duties delivered safely with a focus on customer service excellence at all times. Support and / or undertake all duties and processes as required by the business, customer, or location need.

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Examining loads on rolling stock in warehouse bays.
  • Scrutinising loading plans in accordance with set procedures.
  • Maintain records in line with business and customer processes.
  • Provide internal and external customer service as required.
  • Risk Assessments and all aspects of safety related to this operation.
  • Work to location Specific Knowledge and rules & regulations associated with the workplace.
  • Be vigilant of all matters regarding site security and safety.
  • Protective equipment to be used in line with the tasks being undertaken.
  • Manually operating mechanical hoods on wagons.

Personal requirements:

  • A strong health & safety background; qualifications are desirable.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
  • CCNSG Site Safety Passport - or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Can do attitude, aptitude for learning new skills.
  • Customer focused.

This position will be working on a 4 on 4 off / days & nights rota, a flexible approach is required as there will be overtime requests.
