Job Description
As the Paper Mill Production Manager you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the achievement of envisaged aims, by operating in compliance with safety, environmental and product's safety provisions, ISO 9001 Quality System and Group's policies.
- Manage the production personnel, including shift rotation.
- Organise the personnel's technical training, testing their acquisition level.
- Collaborate with the Production Planning Office suggesting possible corrective actions.
- Ensure that the product is compliant with the assigned technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the Product Office in the permanent updating of technical specifications, signalling anomalies and suggesting alterations for an ongoing improvement.
- Participate in the activities to develop new products checking their technical feasibility and, if necessary, managing technical tests and sampling.
- Participate in the assessment of auxiliary raw materials by organising and following their industrial tests.
- Promote the permanent improvement aimed at the optimisation of productive processes also through innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance in order to guarantee the correct functioning of productive lines.
- Supervise compliance with safety provisions.
- Contribute to the creation of new products.
- Promote a safety, quality and environment -bound corporate culture.
- Promote the Corporate Principles and Values.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Paper Mill Production Manager should have:
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
- Essential is experience in a production, operations management role within the packaging or paper mill manufacturing environments packaging.
- Strong knowledge of converting operations and production processes.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing production teams.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management and process improvement.
