Yolk is thrilled to support this recruitment campaign for an exceptional Procurement Specialist role. This is what you'll be doing:

  • Raising raw material purchase orders according to ERP requirements.
  • Sending out RFQs to the supplier base and negotiating price and delivery when necessary.
  • Identifying improvement activities within purchasing/material functions to enhance efficiency, focusing on stock reduction, supplier lead reductions, and stock availability.
  • Providing input to production meetings to ensure material availability supports production requirements.
  • Executing the sourcing process and managing ERP transactions to maximize internal efficiency and minimize costs.

The experience you'll bring to the team:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing procurement role.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teamwork and communications within a manufacturing organization involving procurement, suppliers, and assembly operations.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and the capability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive, methodical, and systematic approach to tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  • Education to GCSE standard including Math and English (Grades A-C).
