gap personnel have an exciting opportunity for an experienced industrial Paint sprayer based in the Port Talbot area.

Salary: £16.00 Per Hour

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours: Day Shifts - 40 hours per week

As an Industrial Spray Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and applying coatings to products, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces. This includes mixing paint, applying each layer as per specifications, and performing repairs as needed.

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent hand-eye coordination, a strong understanding of paint mixing techniques, and exceptional attention to detail. A skilled spray painter should be able to apply consistent, durable coatings that meet the exact colour and finish requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing surfaces by filling, sanding, and smoothing before spraying.
  • Masking off areas that should not be sprayed using tape and coverings.
  • Selecting and mixing the appropriate coating liquids.
  • Choosing and attaching the correct spray nozzle to achieve the desired spray pattern.
  • Using industry-standard techniques to spray products.
  • Applying designs using stencils, when required.
  • Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other equipment after each job.
  • Inspecting and assessing the quality of spray coatings once dried.

Requirements:

  • ICATS or Train The Painter qualification is preferred.
