Our FMCG Manufacturing client is looking for a competent and experienced Team Leader/Shift Supervisor to join their fast-growing family business.

Food or beverage manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

As Team Leader, you will supervise a team of operators manufacturing products within the distillery. You will be responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the bottling line and team morale, ensuring that production targets, safety protocols and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of bottling operators and technicians to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Oversee bottling operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Monitor and adjust production processes to maintain efficiency and minimise waste.

Coordinate with maintenance, when required, to ensure equipment reliability and timely repairs.

Enforce safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Effectively communicate with the team, providing feedback and addressing concerns to meet goals.

Track and report production metrics to ensure KPIs are met.

Identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams where required.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as LEAN or Six Sigma projects, to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Address employee performance issues and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

Attributes, Skills and Experience:

Previous production operative experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in a leadership role.

Proven track record of managing teams and achieving production goals.

A good understanding of bottling and packaging processes would be beneficial.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Basic IT skills

Numerate and literate

High attention to detail

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.
