Job Introduction

Support Worker

Pay rate: £14 - £15 (weekly pay) Shift Pattern: 24 hours a week available (12 hour waking night shifts 8pm-8am)

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Portland/Weymouth area and able to commute. 

This role will be supporting an individual with cerebral palsy, they also suffer from epilepsy and requires PEG.Experience with some or all of the above is required for this role.Due to client and family preference, this job is open to Female Support Workers only.If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else’s life then we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. 

  • Support with all facets of daily living.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
