We are looking for a Relief Night Manager in Portree, Isle of Skye for our three hotels! You will be reporting into the Rooms Division Manager and will manage the night reception teams for our three hotels: The Bracken Hide, The Bosville Hotel & Marmalade Hotel.

This is a full time, permanent role working 45 hours a week Monday through Sunday, 5 nights a week for our Portree Hotels; as the Relief Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the nights reception team across the three. You will be expected to work at one to two shifts per hotel, per week.

What you will be doing:
  • Organising team members schedules, on the job training and coaching, plugging yourself into the rota gaps (Night Porters nights off, annual leave and sickness)
  • Guest relations management
  • Work alongside the Executive Head Housekeeper ensuring public area inspections are completed, public area cleanliness are as per company standards and are readily available for the days occupancy
  • Collaborate with the restaurant teams, ensuring that breakfast service is ready and packed breakfasts are readily available for early check-outs.
  • Bartending for our in-house guests
  • Implement the hotels good customer relations policy, including politely addressing guests and colleagues.
  • Ensuring preparation of the daily summery report
  • Ensure Night Porters are trained and coached in the check-in and check-out procedure, daily summery reports, cleanliness of public areas, packed breakfasts, breakfast service set up, bartending for our in-house guests as well as all aspects of safety procedures such as fire evacuation.
