Assistant Management Accountant - About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Assistant Management Accountant to join our client’s team immediately on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be key in ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining the accuracy of the purchase ledger, and providing support to the broader finance team. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and performing month-end adjustments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers, a sharp attention to detail, and a strong desire to advance their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
  • Support the month-end close process, including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data, providing insights and reports to support decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection and variance analysis.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management.
