Portsmouth - Hybrid Working (4 office and 1 WFH ideally) - £45-60k DOE - New brief for a highly experienced and skilled qualified accountant Client Manager, specialising in GP practices. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, capable of handling all aspects of account management, including presenting in front of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of accounts for GP practices.
  • Oversee the preparation of:
    • Accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders.
    • Self-assessment income tax returns and corporation tax returns.
    • Superannuation Tier 1 and Tier 2 forms.
  • Tax planning and pension planning for GPs, locum doctors, consultants in private practice and other medical professionals.
  • Supervise and oversee the work of junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Offer proactive advice on all aspects of tax and accounting to clients in the medical sector.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification ideal - strong QBE’s considered.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working on GP accounts, with a strong understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly NHS operations and private healthcare income streams.
  • Exceptional proficiency in accounting software, including Sage, Xero, and Iris.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely with high efficiency, alongside willingness to work in-office for the initial probation period.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience in overseeing team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to present and discuss financial matters with healthcare professionals.
