This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast-expanding engineering company and contribute directly to its strategic direction. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you’ll lead a skilled finance team, oversee the month-end close, manage VAT and corporate tax returns, and play a vital role in key business projects. With opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations, this role offers both responsibility and the potential for growth.   • Overseeing the close of month end
  • Undertaking VAT returns and corporate tax returns
  • Supporting with key critical business projects and planning from a financial perspective
  • Identifying areas for improvement, streamlining processes and procedures
  • Overseeing the production of accounts, making adjustments when needed
  • Leadership of a finance team of 5
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager / Senior Accountant
  • To be a qualified accountant – ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Experience in dealing with ERP implementations or upgrades
  • A proactive and resilient approach, confidence to push back with stakeholders
  • Strong business partnering skills
